 Mission

 The Veterinary Surgical Laser Society, LTD (VSLS) is committed to enhancing the understanding of lasers and to increase the appropriate utilization of lasers in veterinary medicine.

 Education 

The VSLS, as an advocate for and an advisor to the veterinary community, will accomplish the goal of enhanced understanding with: on-going educational courses, advisory committees, newsletter, a society journal and Annual Meeting.  A variety of educational formats will be used, including: regional meetings, scientific paper and poster presentations, panel discussions, video sessions, didactic lectures and hands-on educational courses. Experts will present the latest information and technologies regarding lasers for veterinary medical and surgical applications.  To ensure that these educational objectives are met and improved upon, program content will be evaluated by committee, peers and the membership. 

The VSLS will seek to incorporate all disciplines of veterinary medicine, including representatives from: all medical and surgical specialties; veterinary technology; veterinary colleges, universities and research facilities; industry and government.
